Adult dyslexia Test, Find Out If You Have Dyslexia
Author: Peter Built
Educational systems, systems of teaching, have long favored teaching to the average, the majority of the group, ignoring the special needs of those that were different. The very bright and the very dim generally got bored and overwhelmed, respectively as a result. Dyslectics were little understood and suffered for that lack of understanding. Their condition was more subtle, not readily observable. Recently a great deal of work has been done in the field and we know a lot more... Being dyslexic doesn't mean that a person is dumb or stupid. It just means that his or her brain is wired up differently, like the difference between left-handed and right-handed people. It's not a big thing if the teachers just recognize the difference, teach to the student and don't try to hammer all into one mold. Dyslexics see as well as non-dyslexics. The difference is in how their brains process the information, going from seeing letters to written words to thoughts of what they mean. For most of us the process is straightforward. For dyslexics they need helper steps, like sounds of letters and words to help get there. When diagnosed at an early age, children can usually be taught how to use various aids to get past their "roadblocks" with ease. There is no "one formula fits all" with dyslexia, since each case is different - there is no such thing as a "typical" dyslexic. Many mild cases go undetected, put down to slow learning... When you think about it you probably know people who almost never read, have problems with simple numbers, can't spell worth a hoot, etc. Many of these are likely embarrassed by their inability to do these simple tasks and may be hiding these and other dyslectic symptoms. It is unfortunate, because they could easily be helped, probably could master the tasks that now stump them. If their condition were to be diagnosed, their differences measured, someone could show them how they could bypass their mental roadblocks and easily learn what has eluded them before. But societal pressures sometimes make this difficult. Everyone wants to be a "regular guy" or "regular gal". No one wants to be different. So they hide these differences that a simple adult dyslexia test could identify, and they suffer needlessly for it, feeling somehow inferior and having low self-esteem. The first essential step is to recognize that maybe their learning or remembering problems could be some form of dyslexia. After all, this affects 10% of the population and it could affect anyone. Albert Einstein, George Washington and Winston Churchill suffered from dyslexia. Still, they did all right! Once you face the possibility and ask yourself the question, the only way to know for sure is to get yourself tested for dyslexia. A simple half-hour adult dyslexia test that costs less than a dinner out for two could change a dyslexic person's whole life, radically, for the better! And dyslexic people tend to have or develop extraordinary talents of perception and form and creativity. Finding and removing the roadblocks to doing the things that gave them problems before could lead to full development and blossoming of their other, unique abilities... What to Wear Under Your Graduation Gown
Author: Prabh
Graduation is a special time for you and your family. It is an exciting time which celebrates the end of your grade school years and the beginning of your new life. With that in mind, it is important that your graduation ceremony, and the aftermath, go smoothly as possible. Believe it or not, the clothes that you wear underneath your graduation gown may have a big impact on how great your graduation night can be. online degrees india For instance, if you are wearing something uncomfortable, you may not be able to take your mind off of your uncomfortability, and you may spend the whole night unhappy. On the other hand, if you do wear something that you like, something that does not get in the way of whatever fun you may have, you will be a happy camper. So, here are a few tips on what to wear under your gown. Shoes Always wear comfortable shoes. You will be on your feet all day, and if you are practicing on the day of graduation, you will also want to wear comfortable shoes. Be sure that your shoes are nice, unless they will be covered by your gown. If they are not visible, you do not have to wear fancy shoes. You can even wear your most comfortable sneakers. For ladies, wearing high heels is not advisable. Stick to the flat ballet shoes or shoes that provide support for your arch and soles. career options Pants/Slacks/Skirts Ladies should stick to wearing flowy pants or slacks, as well as skirts. These will all be accommodating and will not inhibit you from moving around. If you wear tight jeans underneath, you may become uncomfortable as the night wears on. If you live in a hot climate and you are graduating in May or June, you will not want to wear anything tight underneath a gown. Dresses are also appropriate. For men, slacks will also work. These are comfortable and will keep you cool. Slacks that match the color of your gown would be nice, though lighter colored slacks will work with lighter colored gowns, and darker slacks with darker colored gowns. Shirts/blouses/tops The collars generally should not show over the gown. Men should avoid wearing collared shirts, mostly because they will be too hot to wear. Women should stick to wearing more flowy blouses and tops, and avoid long-sleeved collared shirts that are buttoned all the way down. These can also prove uncomfortable throughout the night. As you can see, the amount of comfortability that you feel in your graduation clothes may affect the quality of the rest of your graduation experience.

In the Quran: How long Allah appointed for Moses to spend in the mountain
Author: Prof.dr. Ibrahim Khalil
This is the fourth article of the series: "Is The Lord God Seen or Not in Bible versus Quran?" In the previous three articles, the Bible says that many men have seen the Lord God like Abraham and Isaac, Jacob. Not only has that, but Jacob Wrestles with God and Jacob defeated GOD. Read the articles "The Lord God is seen in Bible versus Quran" (1-3). In this article, Moses and Aaron, Nadab, Abihu and seventy elders saw the Lord God of Israel face to face. This indicates that in addition to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, there are 74 persons more who saw the Lord God. Yet the Bible declares that No one has ever seen God at any time. The Noble Quran says that No one can see the Almighty Creator in the life of this world; yet, only the believers will see Him in the Hereafter. In addition, the Quran mentions the story when Moses said, ‘My Lord! Show me, Yourself and Allah told him that he could not see him; and then Allah revealed Himself, to the mountain He leveled it to the ground and Moses fell down senseless. ====================================================== ?? In the Bible: The Lord God is Seen (4) The Lord God appeared to Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and Moses; hence, Moses is the fourth man who saw the Lord God The Lord God spoke to Moses and said to him, "I am the LORD; I appeared to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, as God Almighty, but by my name the LORD I did not make myself known to them. Moses then took the blood, sprinkled it on the people and said, "This is the blood of the covenant that the LORD. Moses and Aaron, Nadab and Abihu, and the seventy elders saw the Lord God. Under God's feet was something like a pavement made of sapphire, clear as the sky itself. God did not lay his hand on the chief men, the elders of Israel; they beheld God, and ate and drank. -------------------------------------------------------------------- ? The Lord God appeared to Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and Moses Exodus 3:15-16 (New International Version) 15 God also said to Moses, "Say to the Israelites, 'The LORD, the God of your fathers—the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob—has sent me to you.' This is my name forever, the name by which I am to be remembered from generation to generation. 16 "Go, assemble the elders of Israel and say to them, 'The LORD, the God of your fathers—the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob—appeared to me and said: I have watched over you and have seen what has been done to you in Egypt. -------------------------------------------------------------------- ? Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob did not know the name Jehovah Exodus 6:2-3 (New International Version) 2 God also said to Moses, "I am the LORD. 3 I appeared to Abraham, to Isaac and to Jacob as God Almighty, but by my name the LORD (Jehovah) I did not make myself known to them. -------------------------------------------------------------------- ? Moses and Aaron, Nadab and Abihu, and the seventy elders saw the Lord God. This indicates that in addition to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, there are 74 persons more who saw the Lord God. Under God's feet was something like a pavement made of sapphire , clear as the sky itself. God did not lay his hand on the chief men, the elders of Israel; they beheld God, and ate and drank. Exodus 24:8-11 (New International Version) 8 Moses then took the blood, sprinkled it on the people and said, "This is the blood of the covenant that the LORD has made with you in accordance with all these words." 9 Moses and Aaron, Nadab and Abihu, and the seventy elders of Israel went up 10 and saw the God of Israel. Under his feet was something like a pavement made of sapphire, clear as the sky itself. 11 But God did not raise his hand against these leaders of the Israelites; they saw God, and they ate and drank. -------------------------------------------------------------------- ? Yet, No one have ever seen the Lord God in the Bible! Read Exodus 33:20, John 1:18 and 1 John 4:12 and read the articles "The Lord God is Seen in Bible versus Quran" (1) and (2). ====================================================== ?? In the Quran: The Lord God is NOT Seen (3) In the previous articles "The Lord God is seen in Bible versus Quran" (1-3), the following three points are mentioned therein: 1) No man can see the Almighty Creator in the life of this world (Verse 6:103) 2) On the Day of Judgment, your sight will be acute, very sharp and piercing. (Verse 50: 22) 3) Only the Believers will see their LORD in the Hereafter (Verses 75: 22-23). In this article, verses 7:138-144 tell the story when Moses said, ‘My Lord! Show me, Yourself and Allah told him that he could not see him; and then Allah revealed Himself, to the mountain He leveled it to the ground and Moses fell down senseless. The meanings of verses 7:138-144 The meanings of verse 7: 138 And Allah brought the Children of Israel across the sea, and they came unto a people (who were given up to idols which they had) who worshipped idols. They said: O Moses! Make for us a god, show us a god to worship, an idol for us to worship, just as they have gods ‘O Moses, make for us a god, an idol for us to worship, just as they have gods.’ He said, ‘Truly you are an ignorant folk, for repaying God’s grace to you with what you have said. The meanings of verse 7: 139 Truly as for these, their idolatry will be destroyed and all that they are doing of idolatry is in vain. The meanings of verse 7: 140 Then Moses said: Shall I seek for you a god other than Allah, shall I command you to worship another lord when Allah has favored you above all the nations of your time through surrender unto Him? The meanings of verse 7: 141 And remember when Allah delivered you from Pharaoh's folk who were afflicting you with dreadful torment, slaughtering your little sons and sparing your girls. These events were tremendous trial as well as blessing from your Lord, so will you not heed the admonition and desist from what you are saying? The meanings of verse 7: 142 And when Allah appointed for Moses to spend in the mountain thirty nights and added to them ten more days and he completed the whole time appointed by his Lord of forty nights (thus was completed the term of communion) with his lord, forty nights.; and Moses said unto his brother Aaron: Take my place, be my deputy among the people. Do right, enjoin them to do right, and do not follow the way of mischief-makers by committing transgressions. The meanings of verse 7: 143 And when Moses came at Allah's appointed time, that is, the time at which Allah had promised to speak to him, and his Lord spoke with him, without any intermediary, with speech which he heard from all directions, Moses said, ‘My Lord! Show me, Yourself, that I may behold You!’ Allah Said, ‘You shall not see Me, that is to say, you do not have the power to see me, but behold the mountain, which is stronger than you are, and if it remains, stays fixed, in its place, then you shall see Me’, that is, [then] you shall remain fixed and able to see Me, otherwise, you will not have the capacity for it. And when Allah revealed Himself, that is, [when] He manifested of His Light the equivalent of half a nail of a little finger, (as stated in one Hadith), to the mountain He leveled it to the ground and Moses fell down senseless, having lost consciousness at the awesomeness of what he had seen. And when he recovered his senses he said, ‘Glory be to You!, in Your transcendence. I repent to You, for having asked You what I was not commanded [to ask], and I am the first of the believers’, of my time. It should be emphasized that the use of this expression [lan tar?n?, which means, ‘you shall not see Me’] instead of lan ur?, which means, ‘I shall not be seen’, implies that it is possible to see God, exalted be He (but only the believers will see Him in the Afterlife) The meanings of verse 7: 144 Hen Allah said, to him: ‘O Moses, I have elected you, chosen you, from among mankind, the people of your time, for My Messages and My Speech, that is, [for] My having spoken to you. So take what I have given you, of bounty, and be of the thankful’, of My favors. -------------------------------------------------------------------- Verses 7: 138-144 (Yusuf Ali translation) Verse 7: 138 We took the children of Israel (with safety) across the sea. They came upon a people devoted entirely to some idols they had. They said: "o Moses! Fashion for us a god like unto the gods they have." he said: "surely ye are a people without knowledge. Verse 7: 139 As to these folk, - the cult they are in is (but) a fragment of a ruin, and vain is the (worship) which they practice. Verse 7: 140 He said: "shall I seek for you a god other than the (true) Allah, when it is Allah who hath endowed you with gifts above the nations?" Verse 7: 141 And remember we rescued you from pharaoh's people, who afflicted you with the worst of penalties, who slew your male children and saved alive your females: in that was a momentous trial from your lord. Verse 7: 142 We appointed for Moses thirty nights, and completed (the period) with ten (more): thus was completed the term (of communion) with his lord, forty nights. and Moses had charged his brother Aaron (before he went up): "act for me amongst my people: do right, and follow not the way of those who do mischief. Verse 7: 143 When Moses came to the place appointed by us, and his lord addressed him, he said: "o my lord! Show (thyself) to me, that I may look upon thee." Allah said: "by no means canst thou see me (direct); but look upon the mount; if it abides in its place, then shalt thou see Me." when his lord manifested his glory on the mount, he made it as dust. and Moses fell down in a swoon. When he recovered his senses he said: "glory be to thee! To thee I turn in repentance, and I am the first to believe. Verse 7: 144 (Allah) said: "o Moses! I have chosen thee above (other) men, by the mission I (have given thee) and the words I (have spoken to thee): take then the (revelation) which I give thee, and be of those who give thanks. ====================================================== Back to my question to the smart and interested reader: Are the Scholars truthful when they claim that the Quran quoted from the Bible?

Why Should You Learn Chinese Online?
Author: Rick Zablocki
Out of all the different ways and means to learn Chinese, Why is learning Chinese online the best way to learn the beautiful, yet difficult language. Well the reason is convenience. It is extremely convenient to learn the language from the comfort of your own home. Not only is it convenient, but it is also a heck of a lot cheaper than learning at a university, or paying hundreds of dollars on books and compact disk’s you probably will only read once and then just throw it away, or listen to a few times and then completely set them aside to collect dust. Out of all the means of trying to learn a language, I found learning a language online to be the best way. The Chinese language is the sort of language you have to hear it and practice certain phrases a multitude of times in order to fully get it fresh in your mind, and to move that knowledge from your short term memory to your long term memory. That is where the online tutor comes it. The online tutor, not only has mastered the language, but you can practice chatting with them or speaking to them via web cam to see if the knowledge you learned in your Chinese to English manual actually makes any sense or if you are able to say certain words properly. I really hope after reading this article, that you will, indeed, take my word for it, and try learning Chinese via a Chinese internet tutor or mentor. Do you want to get help and master another language with the aid of a foreign language master, then please visit http://www.chinesegreat.com today! and start building relationships with other teachers and students! Keep your Spanish
Keep your Spanish sharp with monthly Practice
Author: Chris Cornell
Constant practice of anything will result in success, as many would agree upon. The saying is applicable to education, occupation and even hobbies. Learning a new language is fantastic hobby because it provides a fresh cultural perspective on every day expressions. For example in Hindi, Turkish, Arabic, Persian, Malay and Indonesian, the word “dunia” means world. This broadens the outlook of cultures throughout the world, and the knowledge of other languages displays the unknowing similarities that all of us share. Latin languages such as Italian, Portuguese and Spanish are very similar with one another. Spanish is spoken in the whole of Latin America except in Brazil, at which Portuguese is more intensively concentrated. To begin learning this set of widely spoken languages is not as hard compared to improving the skills from beginners’ level to at least an intermediate or an advanced level. It is only sensible to keep your Spanish sharp with monthly practice. It does not matter where or when you decide to carry out the buttressing lessons but the willingness to allocate a designated duration of time is proof enough that you are aware of the importance of active participation in the usage of the language. Get a native-speaking colleague or housemate to keep your Spanish with monthly practice by persistently conversing in it. There is no better technique to improve your linguistic mastery other than to converse with a native speaker of the language. Beginners are usually intimidated by the expertise of the first-language based speakers, but after a meaningful conversation with them, beginners usually end up more confident than ever. Simple and untrained phrases concerning time, climate and even farm vocabulary can be shared when you decide to keep your Spanish with monthly practice. These aspects cannot be taught in classrooms and tutorial. Only by practical methods, a beginner is able to grab the idea of the square habits of the foreign language usage.

TEACHING
TEACHING ENGLISH IN THAILAND
Author: devesh1518
English is emerging as a common language and it is spoken around the world. It has been estimated that out of 6 billion people that are alive today about 300 million speak English in their daily life. If you want to be successful in international business, learning English is incredibly important. You can arrange a job for yourself through internet. The internet has allowed the English to spread around the world. As the internet was invented in west, English was inherently built into it and hence more people were being exposed to English. Thailand is becoming popular with foreign tourist, and as country continues to trade in international market, so too has the ability to use English become even more important to Thai people and Thailand. Thai people are a playful bunch but they get bored easily. Thais never say anything negative about their teacher- quite simply, the culture doesn’t condone criticism There is huge demand for native English speakers in Thailand to tutor the English language. Even if you are not diploma holder or don’t have any teaching certificate you can find work in Thailand as a private tutor or working in an established school. Problems of Hearing Impaired Students in Higher Education
Author: Amit balchandaniThe goals of bridging the gaps:
- To make open all fields of study
- To focus on employability outcomes
- To create result-oriented system
- To enable disabled persons to make equal contributions to society in terms of their economic and social life participation
- To generate awareness among public about hearing disabilities and the needs of Hearing Impaired persons
- To advocate the rights and requirements of Hearing Impaired persons
National-level initiative is needed, which include:
- Establishment of state-level Disability Co-ordination programs to provide greater coordination of services for disabled people in vocational education and training.
- Allocation of funds to create study materials so that Hearing Impaired persons can learn with ease
- Development of effective system to identify and raise awareness about important issues
- Formation of strategic partnerships between training institute, lawmakers and potential employers to provide equal opportunities to people with disabilities
Removing education barriers:
Education is the most important issue for Hearing Impaired people. Generations of Hearing Impaired children have been and will continue to be ‘educated’ in a system controlled by people who are not Hearing Impaired and who focuses on deafness as a defect that needs to be fixed. The system attempts to educate them by using a language (English) that they neither know fluently and nor can access fully. These generations of Deaf children have emerged with poor English skills, poor education, poor general knowledge, and poor self-esteem.
Employment is the second most important issue.
Support services for Hearing Impaired persons:
Hearing impaired student must be provided adequate support services such as:
- Interpreters, who can translate lecture into language known to candidates.
- Counselors, who should be made available to all students to discuss personal, academic, or psychological problems.
- Individualized services. Some Hearing Impaired students seek assistance with class assignments or personal issues that they cannot share with others.
The factors to integrate disability groups
- Involve the Hearing Impaired community. Self help is more effective and efficient.
- Ensure the availability of technology enhancements such as websites, mobile telephone short message services (sms), and other visual information sources to assist Hearing Impaired students.
- Encourage students to participate in vocational education and training. Interpreters should be available.
- Undertake staff training. Staff should be trained in basic sign language skills.
- Provide a wide range of language support services. Many Hearing Impaired students require the same language support as a person from another language background.
- Teaching group should be a manageable group. Valuable interactive sessions with the help of subtitled videos, PowerPoint presentations, handouts of lectures notes and web links on course materials are proven successful strategies to ensure the clarity and availability of courseware for all.
- Prepare course material using the Models of Instructional Design to make things easy for Hearing Impaired persons. Programmed courses where progress of understanding is evaluated at small increments are also beneficial.
- Create support groups. Support groups can provide support and minimize isolation. Hearing impaired students should be included in mainstream courses along with normal students.

nonverbal communication
Body Language
Author: Piyush BhatiaBody language is a term for communication using body movements or gestures instead of, or in addition to, sounds, verbal language or other communication. It forms part of the category of paralanguage, which describes all forms of human communication that are not verbal language. This includes the most subtle of movements that many people are not aware of, including winking and slight movement of the eyebrows. In addition body language can also incorporate the use of facial expressions.
One of the most basic and powerful body-language signals is when a person crosses his or her arms across the chest. This can indicate that a person is putting up an unconscious barrier between themselves and others. It can also indicate that the person's arms are cold which would be clarified by rubbing the arms or huddling. When the overall situation is friendly, it can mean that a person is thinking deeply about what is being discussed. But in a serious or confrontational situation, it can mean that a person is expressing opposition. This is especially so if the person is leaning away from the speaker. A harsh or blank facial expression often indicates outright unfriendliness.
Consistent eye contact can indicate that a person is thinking positively of what the speaker is saying. It can also mean that the other person doesn't trust the speaker enough to "take his eyes off" the speaker. Lack of eye contact can indicate negativity. On the other hand, individuals with anxiety are often unable to make eye contact without discomfort. Or if while making direct eye contact a person is fiddling with something, even while directly looking at you, it could indicate the attention is elsewhere.
Disbelief is often indicated by averted gaze, or by touching the ear or scratching the chin. So is eyestrain, or itchiness. When a person is not being convinced by what someone is saying, the attention invariably wanders, and the eyes will stare away for an extended period.
Boredom is indicated by the head tilting to one side, or by the eyes looking straight at the speaker but becoming slightly unfocused. A head tilt may also indicate a sore neck, and unfocused eyes may indicate ocular problems in the listener.
Interest can be indicated through posture or extended eye contact.

Chinese culture
The plight of minorities in China
Author: Christina PomoniAs of today, China has a population of nearly 1.4 billion people, accounting for the 19.7 percent of the global population. Out of these, 55 ethnic minority groups of different size total to 8.04 percent of the Chinese population. The ethnic minority groups with a size of over 1 million people are the Zhuang, the Korean, the Bai, the Tibetan, the Miao, the Mongolian, the Uygur, the Bouyei, the Dong, the Kazak, the Hui, the Manchu, the Hani, the Dai, the Yi, the Yao, the Li and the Tujia, 18 in total. Out of them, the largest is the Zhuang with a population of more than 15 million people.
In the course of the 20th century, government policies towards ethnic minorities can be characterized as an effort to accommodate and assimilate these ethnic groups into contemporary China. At the times of the Han Dynasty (206 BC220 AD), ethnonym was introduced to distinguish the dominant ethnic group in China, the Han. In 1911, the movement for the Republican Revolution appealed directly to ethnic nationalism urging the Han Chinese majority to force out the ruling Qing Dynasty (16441912). In 1949, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) employed similar assimilation policies that aimed to the systematic classification of the ethnic groups based on the Stalinist definition of ethnicity that led to the 55 ethnic minorities that exist today.
Ethnic nationalism is the main source of the present plight of minorities in China. Seeing the nation as a politicized ethnic identity defined by common culture and origin, ethnic nationalism shares historical experiences and common language. Although banning any form of racial discrimination is of high constitutional importance in China, the historical origins of nationalism justify the political conflicts between different ethnic groups. Although the governmental policies towards the protection of the fundamental rights of Chinese ethnic minorities demonstrate great pluralism minorities do not consider that they are Han Chinese and demand separation from the Chinese state.
The kind of nationalism that emerges in China has its roots in the political and social acts that create a nation based on historical and cultural ideas, values and practices for political purposes. Despite all the efforts of governmental intervention, the Chinese minorities groups have never been fully integrated into Han culture because they have resisted cultural and political interferences to a varying extent.
At the same time, China sees itself as a united multicultural state, yet united under the umbrella of the Han people, who make up for the 92 percent of the Chinese population. However, eating habits and traditional values are different in Shanghai or Canton. The seven or eight main dialects are as different as English and French. Chinese ethnic minorities gain political significance when they reside in key strategic border regions, particularly in regions that are rich in natural resources.
For instance, in Xinjiang where China shares borders with Russia and Pakistan and maintains its nuclear test site, nearly 9 million Uygur, 1.3 million Kazak and 160,000 Kyrgyz reside. Besides, nearly 6 million Tibetans reside in the Tibet Autonomous Region where China shares borders with India. Yet, they are unified by a different religion, and language than the Han and they oppose to Chinese oppression.
Since 1978, China has undergone major social and economic reforms that have changed the setting of a centrally planned economy enabling its passage to a free market economy. By suppressing collectivism both in the rural and the industrial sector, decentralizing the external trade and employing autocracy to control social cost and avoid social chaos, China has opened its borders to foreign direct investment and attracted major investment inflows.
Today, Chinese ethnic minorities suffer the consequences of globalization mainly by not being entitled to resist the wheel of modernization. By being deprived of economic resources and unable to establish modern facilities to ensure survival and economic stability, minority groups strive to maintain their self-sufficiency and their cultural heritage. Besides, their need for labor, capital, technological infrastructure, transportation and access to information seems to be growing at a fast pace.
The glamour of China's economic miracle, the thrill of its booming cities and the use of the Chinese language on television, in film, and in radio are taking away the distinct identity of ethnic minorities. Besides, useless propaganda slogans basically flatten out all traditions turning them into mainstream culture. According to sociologists, this dominance is the result of a perception of natural hierarchy of the Han Chinese in the political and social life of China.
Is China's prosperity threatened by ethnic minority groups? There is no doubt that ethnic tensions create a volatile situation in China. In March 2008, several months before the Summer Olympic Games in Beijing, ethnic Tibetan monks staged the biggest anti-Chinese demonstration to mark the anniversary of an unsuccessful Tibetan uprising in 1959. Protests have been reported in Western China, mainly in the provinces of Gansu, Sichuan and Qinghai, while the Dalai Lama has characterized the event as China's 'cultural genocide' in Tibet, warning that he would step down as leader of Tibetans should the violence persisted. Although the Summer Olympic Games were, admittedly, successful, China was accused for disrespecting the fundamental right of any citizen to express their political and religious views; but nothing more than that. Ethnic minorities remain in the shadow of the dominant Han control.
Conclusively, the plight of minorities in China is an issue that, despite any changes in China's ideological policy since 1978, has remained relatively firm. In many ways, ethnic minorities that have their own culture, language, religion, and customs and have been unable to identify with the Han culture, are widely regarded as foreigners and are mistrusted. This, inevitably, leads to the expansion of ethnic nationalism and the growing flow of refugees around the globe.

Learn Spanish Language
How to Learn Spanish Language Words and Phrases
Author: Cheryl MarlandWhether you want to learn Spanish language words and phrases because you’re planning a lavish vacation, or because you want to hit your boss up for a promotion, there are several ways to get started. Accredited online college courses, private tutors, and Spanish speaking software are all viable ways to master that coveted second language.
Accredited Online College Courses Legitimate colleges are quickly learning the value of offering busy adults courses over the Internet. So if you’re working toward a degree, adding Spanish to your course list is a good idea. Accredited online college courses are perfect for people with hectic schedules who don’t have the time to commute to a college campus and sit for two hours in a classroom.
Private Tutors
If you want to learn the Spanish language without sitting in a classroom, but you still crave that student-teacher interaction, a private tutor may be the perfect solution for you. They work with you to help you master pronunciation and translation of the language. However, in order to become fluent in Spanish, you will require multiple tutoring sessions. For this reason, the expense of a tutor can quickly add up, as most of them charge by the hour, or per session.
Spanish Speaking Software
Spanish speaking software is a cost effective way to learn a second language. There are several online vendors who offer software that can be downloaded immediately after the purchase is made. Once the software is on your computer, you can access it anytime you get ready.
Unlike online college courses, you don’t have to worry about a failing grade. If you don’t get the hang of the lessons the first time around, you can just revisit the software until you master it. And unlike a private tutor, there’s no need to fork over extra money for a little more instruction. You only have to pay for the software once, and you can use it over, and over again.
With the right resources, learning a second language can be fun. And foreign language software, tutors, and online college courses takes the guesswork out of finding stellar ways to learn Spanish.

History of Kashmir
Kashmir Dispute - A Brief History
Author: Dr. Ashiq HussainKashmir as you know is one of the most beautiful places on Earth, beautiful people and a center of Sufism - a culture created by liberal Islamic and Hindu traditions. Even though this region is majority Muslim but almost divided into three equal sub-regions with majority Buddhist, Hindu and Muslim areas. It is painful that unrest in valley (one of the three regions) has dragged for two decades now and has been a flash point among unresolved disputes. A problem largely created by India's neighbor and fueled by Indian government's own apathy.
The state was created under the Treaty of Amritsar between the East India company and Raja Gulab Singh of Jammu who buys Kashmir Valley from the East India Company for Rs.75,00,000 (in 1846) and adds it to Jammu and Ladakh already under his rule. Kashmir Valley, a Muslim majority region speaking the Kashmiri language and a composite cultural identity called 'Kashmiriyat' transcending religious barriers, moreover, the people are hospitable and engage in Sufi tradition. Thus from the very beginning i.e. 1931 the movement against the repressive Maharaja Hari Singh begins. Hari Singh a part of a Hindu Dogra dynasty was ruling over a majority Muslim State and predominantly Muslim population was not adequately represented in the State's services. Thus it was in 1932, Sheikh Mohammed Abdullah sets up the All Jammu and Kashmir Muslim Conference to fight for Kashmiri freedom from the Maharaja's rule, which eventually became the National Conference in 1939. The Glancy Commission appointed by the Maharaja in its report in April 1932, confirmed the existence of the grievances of the State's subjects and suggests recommendations providing for adequate representation of Muslims in the State's services. Maharaja accepts these recommendations but delays implementation, leading to another agitation in 1934. Then Maharaja granted a Constitution providing a Legislative Assembly for the people, but the Assembly turns out to be powerless. National Conference then in 1946 launched Quit Kashmir movement demanding abrogation of the Treaty of Amritsar and restoration of sovereignty to the people of Kashmir during this movement Abdullah was arrested.
On 15 August, 1947 the Indian subcontinent becomes independent and Kashmir signs Standstill Agreement with Pakistan. Rulers of Princely States were encouraged to accede their States to either Dominion - India or Pakistan, taking into account factors such as geographical contiguity and the wishes of their people. The Maharaja of Kashmir delays his decision in an effort to remain independent. Being a Muslim majority State and adjacent to Pakistan, Kashmir was expected to accede to Pakistan; since the Hindu Ruler acceded instead to India, a dispute arose in the case of Kashmir.
Thus amidst the uproar of the independence and the partition of India in 1947, Hari Singh, the then Maharaja of Jammu and Kashmir, committed what has been labelled as one of the most controversial political acts of the twentieth century. He handed over control of the popular kingdom of Jammu and Kashmir to India, despite Pakistani protests and calls for a referendum that would allow the people of Jammu and Kashmir to decide whether they would rather accede to India or the newly created Pakistan. Barring National Conference, other political parties including the Muslim Conference and the Chiefs of Gilgit region, advised the Maharaja against acceding to the Indian Union. While in prison, Sheikh Abdullah wrote a letter to a friend in Jammu (which is published in the Congress press) in favour of accession of Kashmir to India. Abdullah was released from prison on 29 September 1947, in response to pressure from India. After his release, he advocated in favour of Kashmir's freedom before accession and thus continued to oscillate between a pro-India stance and demanding self-determination for Kashmiris.
Then the Maharaja of the State of Jammu and Kashmir signed the Instrument of Accession (IOA) on 26 October, 1947 acceding the 75% majority Muslim region to the Indian Union, following invasion by the tribesmen from Pakistan, according to the 1948 Indian White Paper, India accepted the accession, provisionally until such time as the will of the people can be ascertained by a plebiscite, since Kashmir was recognized as a disputed territory. It should be noted that the IOA itself does not specify any provisionality or conditionality of accession, while the White Paper specifies it clearly, thus creating a conflict between strict legal interpretation and repeated official promise made to the people of Kashmir.
The Indian army entered the state on 27 October to repel the invaders. On 27-28 October, Pathan tribesmen engage in looting and killing a large number of people in Baramula, which resulted in the migration of over 10,000 residents. There are also charges of atrocities by the Indian army. Sheikh Abdullah endorsed the accession as unplanned which would otherwise be ultimately decided by a plebiscite and thus he was appointed as head of the emergency administration. Pakistan reriated that the accession is illegal and the Maharaja acted under compulsion and that he has no right to sign an agreement with India when the standstill agreement with Pakistan is still in force.
In November 1947, India proposed Pakistan to withdraw all its troops first, as a precondition for a plebiscite, which Pakistan rejects on the grounds that the Kashmiris may not vote freely given the presence of Indian army and Sheikh Abdullah's friendship with the Indian Prime Minister, Jawaharlal Nehru. Thus Pakistan too proposed simultaneous withdrawal of all troops followed by a plebiscite under international help, which India rejected. Pakistan kept on sending regular forces to Kashmir and the first war over Kashmir broke out. Then on 1st January, 1948, India took the Kashmir problem to the United Nations (UN) Security Council.
On 1st January, 1949 a ceasefire between Indian and Pakistani was forced which left India in control of most of the valley, as well as Jammu and Ladakh, while Pakistan gained control of part of Kashmir including what Pakistan calls "Azad" Kashmir and Northern territories. Pakistan claimed it is merely supporting an native rebellion in "Azad" Kashmir and Northern Territories against repression, while India terms that territory as POK (Pakistan Occupied Kashmir).
On 5th January 1949, UNCIP (United Nations Commission for India and Pakistan) resolution stated that the question of the accession of the State of Jammu and Kashmir to India or Pakistan will be decided through a free and impartial plebiscite. As per the 1948 and 1949 UNCIP resolutions, both countries accepted the principle, that Pakistan secures the withdrawal of Pakistani intruders followed by withdrawal of Pakistani and Indian forces, as a basis for the formulation of a Truce agreement whose details were to be arrived in future, followed by a plebiscite. However, both countries failed to arrive at a Truce agreement due to differences in interpretation of the procedure for and extent of demilitarization one of them being whether the Azad Kashmiri army was to be disbanded during the truce stage or the plebiscite stage.
On 17 October, the Indian Constituent Assembly adopted Article 370 of the Constitution ensuring a special status and internal autonomy for Jammu and Kashmir with Indian jurisdiction in Kashmir limited to the three areas agreed in the IOA, namelyAbout the Author:Bhalessa, Dr. Ashiq

online degrees
Getting an Online Degree: Things You Need to Know Before Enrolling
Author: Clint JhonsonThere are numerous online degrees available for you. Choosing the right one can be a very tricky process. That is why you have to practice due diligence before you enroll in an online degree program. This is very important because getting an online education is not cheap. It entails cost and considerable effort before you can earn your degree. So you need to choose wisely and carefully so you can get the most out of your online education. Here are some very important things that you need to know before paying your tuition.
First, you have to determine if the online degree courses of your preferred online institution will be honored in the real world. You can contact your local higher education board and inquire about the status of the programs of an online university. Most higher education boards provide accreditations to online universities. If the program is accredited, then the online degrees provided by a particular school will be honored by employers and other educational institutions. Be careful in signing up with fly by night online schools. Always verify the programs of the schools before you apply for enrollment.
Second, you have to contact the provider and get specific answers to several important concerns. You need to know the level of student support that can be provided by the online school. You can ask the service agent of the online school if they are providing professional advisers for each student. You must also ask if the online instructors or professors will allot time for student consultations. Take note the contact channels available for you. Email communication is good but it may not be enough to answer urgent concerns. So the online school should have other means of communication available for students. Remember, getting an online degree would be difficult if you can not enjoy the support of the institution.
You should also inquire how the online school will deliver the lessons. This is important especially if you are taking up difficult online degrees and programs such as medical studies, graduate studies, and MBA programs. The study methods adopted by the online school would be critical in making your online studies easier. Make sure that you can get full online learning especially if you still have a day job to consider. It is also best if you can get assurances that the online school can deliver real time virtual instructions. Real time instructions are important so you can interact with professors and other online students. Getting online degrees would be easier if the online school has facilities for real time study sessions.
It is also important to ask the cost of education. Aside from the regular tuition that you will have to pay, you have to know if there are other charges for special consultations, access to libraries, and examination fees. Such fees can add up so you need to know the exact cost of online education for at least one term. This way, you can properly make a budget for your studies. If you think that the cost of education on a particular online school is prohibitive, then you can simply look for other institutions that can offer lower education fees.
Do you want to earn professional online degrees from top online universities? Visit our website today to see our widest selection of online degree programs and online courses provided by the most prestigious online universities.

What is the Easiest Foreign Language To Learn?
Author: Chris ChanDo you want to start with the easiest foreign language to study? Which language should you study first? If you are seeking a good language to start with, I would suggest the following:
Consider starting with a foreign language that is similar to your own.
The easiest foreign language to learn is probably closely related to your own. Most languages fall into certain groups. It is relatively easy to study a language similar to your own, or similar to another language that you already have some experience with. For example, French and Spanish are closely related to English. You will probably find it easy to deduce the meanings of many words on your own. If you already know some French or Spanish, then you shouldn't have much trouble with a language similar to Italian. Learn the basics of one, then switch to any of the others, you will find remarkable similarities.
Even if the words are very different, the grammar patterns are often the same. At some level, you will have an intuitive sense of how things go together. This makes it much easier to learn a closely related language rather than one from a unrelated lineage such as Korean or Russian.
Can You Find Lots of Resouces?
Can you find lots of resources in your chosen language? This is a critical factor in choosing a language. The easiest language to learn also has a lot of resources available. If you go to the library, can you find language guides, dictionaries, and phrase books in your target language? If you search on-line, can you find websites, podcasts, and other material in the language? If you search around, can you find movies dubbed in the language? Finally, can you find native speakers to practice with? There are all important factors to consider. The easiest foreign language to learn will be one where you have access to native speakers and a good selection of resources.
Are You Interested In The Language?
Finally, do you have an interest in learning the language? For instance, why would you want to spend a huge amount of time studying Russian if you have no interest in the food or culture of that part of the world? But if you are enthralled by the sound of Italian, dream of eating at a piazza cafe, hope to one day explore Tuscany, and are fascinated by the people, then choosing Italian is probably a no-brainer. The easiest foreign language is one that you really want to learn.
Having strong reasons on many different levels to learn a language is a key factor to your success. It will help keep you interested, keep things fun, and keep you going through the ups and downs. Language learning is a skill. You have to work at it. Like anything else, you have to develop strength in it. The experience of learning one language will in turn make it easier to learn the next language. Start with an easy language and build up from there.
If you really want a head start, if you want to learn how to learn ANY language, not just the easy ones, check out the techniques at http://languagelearnersecrets. But it not just a strategy guide. It also includes a detailed analysis of many different languages and will help you decide what is the easiest foreign language to learn.
